Hello,

For a while now I have been having issues when sending emails from my hosts’ email service. The emails sent to yahoo addresses are not delivered non at all. I am wondering if what my hosting providers says is true. Here is what the provider said:

“Emails sent to Yahoo! are usually delayed because of the high traffic that we go through, if you’d like your email to arrive instantly, I suggest you upgrade to one of our VPS plans if you want instant delivery.”

“This is not something that we control, Yahoo! usually limits the emails and we cant do anything but retry to send emails every couple of minutes till they arrive, this is not something that we control or slow down, this is completely something at Yahoo!’s end.”

I am wondering if this is true or if he is forcing me to upgrade? How comes it only affects yahoo delivery addresses? I understand that delays can happen, but disagree with non delivery of messages.
This is the first time I have seen this situation.

Any help is highly appreciated?

I am using GoDaddy.com to configure my domain, but my hosting is with 1freehosting.com (free). 1freehosting.com made me change my name servers so it would work. This made my DNS manager from GoDaddy say, “Not hosted here”.

Can I fix it by adding GoDaddy’s name servers to the end fo the list of 1freehosting.com’s name servers?

I like the interface GoDaddy has and I’d prefer it be managed on their site.
