Does anyone know a good book about creating websites?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Managed Webhosting

Hello, I am looking for a book about how to create a website. This book should also explain how to do HTML, putting up music downloads, webhosting and all the rest of it. Does anybody know of a decent one? (i.e. not too complex for a keen beginner to understand)

Thanks

PS Please don't reply to me asking if you can make it for me, I would like to make and manage it myself.

Books can help you, but there are a lot of good websites out there, too.

Try www.w3schools.com — that's how I learned.

Managed Forex Trading makes me $3000 per day : Forex Strategies

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Managed Webhosting

http://forexauto.info One of the best things you can do is watch the news religiously. Managed forex trading requires you to be able to know when the market is going to experience a volatile time. The news will present economic information, which will end up creating these situations. The last thing you want to do is make a trade in a relatively calm market and an hour after you do it, the market goes volatile. Watch the news and know what's going on, and you must have the best forex trading software.
The best Automated forex trading software is forex autopilot. I have been using it for a year now and I typically make around 3000 dollars per day. If you are serious about forex trading, Id urge you to check out forex autopilot.

When I try to log into webhosting.yahoo.com to edit my website, I get redirected to AT&T. What’s going on?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Managed Webhosting

I purchased a domain a little more than a month ago and haven’t done much with it since. I decided to finally edit the contents, but I try to go to webhosting.yahoo.com and I get redirected to AT&T. It asks me to sign in, even though I had already signed in just before being redirected. I’ve gone to the Small Business Help page and clicked on the links there in attempt to reach my Control Panel, only to be redirected to the same AT&T page. I’ve read other forums that said it’s possibly Spyware, so I’ve ran Adaware and Norton to no avail, and have also installed Redirect Remover for Firefox, but it’s all been in vain.

Even when I go ahead and log into AT&T (My DSL is provided through Yahoo!/AT&T) it still does nothing other than shows that I’ve logged in.

My domain has not expired, because my credit card was billed for it, and for the first week I was able to access it and make edits. However It just seems impossible for me to get anywhere. If more information is needed, just ask, because I would really like this to be fixed so I can manage my site.

Assuming the worst in that there is no resolution, how difficult would it be to transfer my domain to another host? I hear Godaddy is a great host. Is it possible to transfer without being able to log into my Control Panel?

Thank you everyone in advance!

1) As you have AT&T’s DSL service (which I’ll note uses Yahoo!’s search engine but is not actually connected to Yahoo!), I assume this means you have an att.net, pacbell.net, or sbcglobal.net email address.
2) Dependant on when you got your internet service with AT&T, this email address may utilize Yahoo!’s Webmail service.
3) If you purchased the domain one month ago, it would mean it was not purchased with your AT&T/SBC id. If you are logged into your AT&T id automatically, the address you enter will redirect you via a trap page.
4) What you need to do is first log out of any Yahoo! services you are logged into. Then get rid of the address http://webhosting.yahoo.com. It works, but it’s outdated. A better address to access your services with Yahoo! is http://yahoosb.com — or, if the redirect doesn’t work, http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com (and then press on the ‘Small Business’ button).
5) That said, if this fails to work, call into their web hosting support department (open 24/7) at 1-866-800-8092, option 1-1-1

How do i create accounts on websites to enable visitors to login, so they can post comments and give ratings?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Managed Webhosting

I want to develop a website that will enable users to login, give ratings to other visitor's comments, write comments and so fourth. What is the best method to go about doing so? I am signing up with Yahoo Web Hosting. With this webhosting package, i can use PHPMyAdmin. Can i use this program solely to create the databases and manage the databases, or do i need to use PHP and My SQL. Please advise coz i am super lost.

Your time is greatly appreciated. Thanx.

look up the htaccess and htpasswd files. it's the simplest way to do it.

or you can write all sorts custom code to hand out cookies.

If I'm starting a website how do you manage the info from the webhost?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Managed Webhosting

I just designed my website in Javascript but a little confused that once I buy my webhosting package how will I be managing the data from the webhost?

Your Webhost will be able to answer this question with the best detail. but almost all webhosting services have a utility that you can use to add/dele/modify your website content remotely. if they do not ; you can usually simply FTP yout files to the webhost
