Web Hosting by Lunarpages 09 – FTP over TLS with FileZilla (Mac and Win)

The original video is open to visitors at http://www.mhvt.net with a resolution of 900 x 675 pixels.

FileZilla is available for Linux, Mac and Windows OS users. In this video tutorial, we use Mac and Windows versions of FileZilla to access Lunarpages’ FTP host through FTP over TLS.

Why TLS anyway? The regular file transfer protocol sends account information in a text form and therefore can be intercepted by Internet criminals. Although your data are not encrypted, you can force FileZilla to performs a secure handshake through FTP over TLS.
